First Sunday of Advent

Good thing we have Christmas to keep us occupied!  It’s wall to wall grey and at 3.00pm the lights are on and the curtains are drawn!  

This morning we watched Mass online but couldn’t understand why the priest wasn’t leaving the lectern!  The sound continued fine but it took us a few minutes to realise the visuals had stuck! 

Then the little ones came round with Dad, in the garden.  We hadn’t expected them as there was a fine drizzle!  No treasure hunt! 

I did a tasting session with the cake I had just made, using mincemeat but that went down flat.  Turns out LM was waiting for an apricot flan or biscuits for school!   So a batch of biscuit dough is cooling in the fridge as I type.  

All around wreaths are appearing on doors, and Christmas trees can be spotted in front rooms! But not here, just the advent candles!  Only one lit so far! ( last year I decided to go for led candles as safer)
