A very peculiar football team

Queen's Park Football Club, founded in 1867, is unique in British football. Our motto, loosely translated as 'The Game for the Game's Sake,' meant that QP players were unpaid amateurs until last year. We also created Hampden Park, the home of Scottish football. Now we have dropped the amateur status, we have a multi-millionaire supporting us, a new much respected chief executive, and our ambitions are clear. Currently we are top of League Two, undefeated with only one goal conceded. Of course it may all blow up in our faces. We will see.
