Sunday: Flying Things

Woke up to a misty morning which didn’t clear all day.
Had a morning of sewing, made a fabric face mask using instructions  -

Couldn’t find a suitable weight of cotton fabric, used linen instead. Didn’t have narrow elastic, but continued with what I had - the resulting mask was too big for me and too small for MrD - need to go shopping!
Thought I was imagining that something had whizzed past my legs in the kitchen, then I saw her - a whopping BIG wasp bashing against the window. Damp dishcloth and soothing words, she was caught and taken outdoors, then released to look for a suitable hibernation home :-)
Late afternoon, windows still open for fresh air, the sound of a helicopter, then a red light low in the darkening sky, heading over our house towards the coast, hope everyone gets home safe and sound ...
