Schloss Alsbach
Our eldest son M. and I had a nice but cold walk up the Melibokus today, a 517m high mountain at the eastern side of the Rhine valley. On our way up we passed the well maintained ruin of the Alsbach castle. The castle keep, the main blip, is just above 19m high and has a diameter of 11m. Due to Corona, as so often these days, the castle was closed.
From the Melibokus viewing platform the Rhine valley can be seen, but also the Alsbach castle, with Alsbach-Hähnlein behind it (in the extra).
Thanks to Marlieske for hosting the Derelict Sunday challenge.
