DAY 29
Neil had a bad nights sleep as he was in a lot of pain so he made a 6am start on his 29 mile run today. A running friend accompanied him for 12 miles and Rachael joined him for the last 4. So that was day 29 ticked off. It was tough but as he says " folk will be fed round Christmas time ". Last day tomorrow - 30 miles. And then he can rest. The Foodbank fund now stands at £2,300, I know that some of my blip friends have contributed to this total and Neil and I would like to thank you very much.
A friend of Neils contacted NUFC.com - a Newcastle United fan site - and they added a piece about Neil on their website. I have included it in my collage.
Musical link - theme tune for GEORDIE RACER This was a BBC educational programme set in Newcastle and the surrounding area which featured pigeon racers and runners competing in The Great North Run. It was shown in schools in 1988. One of the stars was Kevin Wateley who later went on to appear in Inspector Morse and later on in Lewis.
Today I have pottered around doing a few chores, had a Whatsapp video call with Becky and Mike and a 2 hour phone call with my brother. He's doing Ok. Just shopping locally and not seeing many people but he's fine with that and keeping himself safe.
Steps today - 2,326
