Memories

We decided to come to Mersea Island (near Colchester) for the night to relive childhood memories - dads mum lived here and when she remarried she kept her house on the sea front but went to live with Peter who she married. So we had many a happy sailing holiday with aunts, uncles and cousins whilst staying on the island. We haven't been since bit before she died so has been lovely to be back, and we went to visit Peter who I hadn't seen in years! He's 90 now - but his oyster shed is still standing... Mersea is known for its oysters - today we ate them for the first time with champagne!
