Preparations

The first time in my life I've put a Christmas tree up before December, or even the middle of December at the earliest. But here it is, fitting perfectly in the corner, now festooned with 120 little lights. I am preparing for the return of daughter J on Friday, after which we will be in isolation, after which we may - if things continue to get worse here - even be in a lock down. Some new restrictions were announced tonight, and quite rightly.

So whatever I need to buy or post needs to be done this week. Not that anything material is really that important, more so the effort to stay safe and do our bit to keep others safe. It won't be forever.
