Spot the Castle
Or not! It was very foggy this morning, a real pea souper, the castle was completely hidden from sight. During WW2 the estate was used for trials of FIDO (Fog, Intense Dispersal Operation) due to the site being in a valley and having thick fogs. The end result was a system of pipes with holesl that with fuel pushed through them, and the fuel lit, and laid in lines, could create a runway with light for returning aircraft.
Two days at work this week, what a treat!
