Romsey rousers

The sun never materialised this weekend, despite forecasts to the contrary. I strolled around anyway and my eyes were drawn to this old building, the Romsey Town Labour Club. Romsey is a ward of Cambridge known for its past socialist leanings, as opposed to the wealthier college-owned areas closer to the city centre.

A friend suggested one way to do some ‘self care’ would be to get down to Superdrug and buy some stuff. I’ve been holding off accumulating things as I’ve been on the cusp of travel for a few months, so it was a good idea. Looking like a raggedy lumberjack, I hung around Boots for a while and treated myself to a bottle of shower gel, some moisturiser and a new deodorant. It’ll probably be the biggest haul of the winter season as restrictions will likely mean our annual clear-up at the Boots sale can’t happen.
