a flash of yellow on a gray day

Laney and I were coming to the end of our morning walk, and I had not yet taken one photo. It was cold and gray, and I was in my head instead of looking for beauty. Suddenly I saw a flash of yellow, and was treated to the sight of a Townsend's Solitaire eating juniper berries! Just what I needed to get my day going.
