6 days of indoor BLIPS!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas?! Put up our minimalistic Christmas tree today. It's right next to my bed which is pretty good because I know that when Santa comes, he will put all my presents underneath the tree so I won't even need to get out of bed to open them. Yay!!!

…..................And we're just wondering.......................... has anyone noticed that we've done 'indoor blips' for the last 6 days?.................................. There's a reason for that...........................

…............Late last Wednesday afternoon (25 Nov) Ann got a message from the 'Test & Protect' App to say that she'd been in contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID on 18th Nov. (more than a week ago) so she had to self-isolate. She was actually at the check out in the supermarket at this point so paid for her trolley load of food and drink and returned home.

And then she checked what she'd been doing 8 days earlier............................... Absolutely nothing that would have brought her into contact with anyone for more than 15 mins. And lets face it, her life is so devoid of human contact, she was pretty sure she would remember if she had. What she had done............................. is go swimming. She got changed in an empty changing room and put her phone into a locker. ….................and it would seem that her phone talked to someone else's phone who subsequently tested positive for COVID.

Obviously Ann phoned the 'helpline'. The blurb on the test & protect app said, 'If you think this message is incorrect you have the right to challenge it by calling the above number.' Mmmmmmm........... The 'helpline' was about as useful as a chocolate teapot!!! After waiting for a very long time, Ann eventually got through to a real live person who said that they couldn't help and she had to email 'Test & Protect Scotland NHS'. She did that but to date nobody has actually replied.

Soooooooooooooooooo............................... because it's actually a legal requirement to self-isolate if the app tells you that's what you've got to do.......................... that's what Ann has done. Fortunately for Ann the app didn't tell her to self isolate until the evening of day 8 after she'd obviously been out and about all over the place, on buses and in shops so she's only had to self-isolate for 6 days.

Tomorrow Ann is FREE again. Yay!!!

Tomorrow Ann is going to take me on a big long walk, whatever the weather.

...................Tomorrow Ann is going to delete the 'Test & Protect' App!!!
