Lisianthus

I'm not in town much to buy many flowers these days as I get my groceries delivered. However, I needed some for a course we're running this week so I went to one of our small supermarkets yesterday and bought some. I always have to buy them several days before we need them to allow the lilies to open in the stillness of the studio. If I buy them open the pollen drops all over the petals as they joggle along in the car.

I went into the studio today for a chat with The Mate about a product shoot tomorrow, and brought a stem of lisianthus home with me. I also got a narrow strip sawn off one of my blackboards so that I can stand it up on the kitchen worktop. (The Mate is also a cabinet maker so has all the gear for that next door.)
