Devils Boot

Day out to The Devils Boots. Hubs and Yola under the Devils left boot, the rest of the devil is apparently buried!!
Our walked turned into a 5 hour trek up to the gold mining fields, taking in caves and the Druggan Dam. The caving was interesting. Not sure that flip flops, mini skirts and hot pants are the usual attire. We did have head torches and jumpers, but there it stopped as far and health and safety went! Mike had slightly more clothing on before you ask!!
Yola took to pitch black cave rock climbing with a natural ability that was amazing and even took her flip flops off in places to get better grip on the slimier sections (cave snot) We are talking straight up....and down. We got lost slightly too. Very dark it is inside the earth!! Straight out of Lord of The Rings with Orks and dwarves expected at every turn! We did have pretty good instructions from our friends about how to get in and out of the caves before I make it sound too dramatic.
After we went for a swim in the most unusual and gorgeous river swimming hole, it reminded me of an old Dr Who episode with polystyrene rock formations!!
Exhausted, happy and bonded climbers headed back to Ali's for dinner. Brilliant family day out.
