Bliss!

Artificial Lawn!

Ruby loves this stuff for reasons unknown to me. She hurls herself cheek first onto it and rolls and squirms and squeals and moans with joy.

This particular bit of lawn is in the relatively new housing estate of Encounter Lakes. Small courtyard homes with very neat easy care front gardens set around an artificial lake and wetlands. Fairly nice really, particularly if you want to hear what your neighbours are up to.

Ruby likes to swim in the lake. She doesn't bother the ducks and they seem to know she's not a threat. If there were masked lapwings it would be a different matter. Chased some of those on the way home via the beach. We don't like them much since they kept us off Yilki Common for a couple of months last breeding season.
