Lunacy lights

How can setting up the Christmas tree create so much chaos? Ells literally in knots of lights.  The cat running up and down the branches throughout, skiing baubles off the tree and up along the corridor.  Help from afar hones in on how we got in such a muddle and the dogs dodged the cat and an argument breaks out over the mouse in a fine red jacket sitting on the top of the tree and where is the old baggy angel we have had for years?   Demoted I say.
