Nearly the last roses

I was pruning the tall rose bush in the garden this afternoon and couldn't put these on the compost so brought them into the kitchen and put them in a vase. The bird table here has taken on a shrine-like image as seen in many places on the Continent.

Spotted some Fieldfare on top of the hedge this morning
