The COPE centre

We did alot today but the most inspiring place we visited by far was the COPE centre. COPE is a national rehabilitation centre in Laos. It specialises in creating proshtetic limbs for the victims of the "Silent war". Named the silent war due to the ongoing affects of unexploded UXO USA bombs Laos was subjected to during the war on Vietnam. Approx 80 million unexploded UXO bombs remained throughout the country after the war. 25% of villages in Lao are still contaminated today. COPE works along side other charities to slowly clear these areas that are still sadly affecting locals and their families.

If you want to make a dontation this year give it to COPE. http://www.copelaos.org/donate.php
