Looking West
A walk around the parish a.m, scintillating and flat calm, so was the weather. I kept to the road, in three hours seeing nine vehicles. A very large flock of field fares and red wings headed east over Kenny Firth's hoose.
A call came in from the parish over the hill (Stenness) from Colin. The last time I saw him was Newtonmore in March. It was a very long update - to be continued over a meal arranged by the Distaff side.
The Current Mrs Creel headed for her shift at the Cat Protection shop. I sought solace with a 10yr old from Arran, a 23yr old Glen Scotia fae Campbelltown and a Glendronach cask.
If only every recording artist took similar care in recording their music as Gavin Barras. Who was the recording engineer? And Gavin was in our earshot all the time in the Matthew Halsall band. As was harpist Rachel Gladwin
I received a high pressure sales pitch last night; the caller had an EH postcode and I was in the headlights and signed up for goodness knows what. I must be more judicious when speaking into the tin can.
