The Last One

This is my last osteospermum flower looking a bit tatty and definitely bedraggled in the rain which hasn't stopped all day, it's been very cold too. I managed to drop off my jigsaws etc at the charity shop this morning, I'd sent the charity an e-query yesterday and they came back to say it would be open today. I managed to resist the cake shops! I then made the payment for my carpets by phoning Barclays, lots of anti-fraud hurdles to jump to make it! More putting things back today, plus getting sidelined by taking very old photos out of 6 albums and keeping just some of the photos with people in. Just waiting for Sainsbury's now. A very enjoyable photography group meeting yesterday evening with one of the best speakers I've heard David Boag http://naturalfocus.co.uk/, and I've bought his tutorial to do.

Day 263 / Day 2 of the 3 Tiers v2 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 414 to 60,113 (revised basis), with 14,879 new cases, 15,236 patients in hospital and 1,315 on ventilation. The UK is the first country in Europe to pass 60,000 deaths. PHE reports falls across all age groups and regions in its weekly surveillance report. T&T figures show cases have dropped by 28% in England to w/e 25/11. Jersey is to have a 'hospitality circuit breaker' as their R rate is between 1.6 and 2. Finally the numbers of close contacts reached has gone up to 72.5%, as they have stopped trying to contact under 18s in a household separately proving the parent / guardian confirms they have completed their legal duty to tell their child to self-isolate. The US recorded 2,733 daily deaths, almost the highest so far, and has over 100k in hospital for the first time. The US govt has issued an alert about a cyber espionage campaign which has targeted organisations involved in the 'cold supply' chain needed to distribute vaccines which need to be kept frozen  like the Pfizer / BioNTech one (the first deliveries of which arrive in the UK today). It has 'the potential hallmarks of nation-state tradecraft'. Interpol has also issued an alert this week about the potential for criminal gangs to either steal the vaccine or create a fake version. Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi and Asda have joined Sainsbury's in saying they'll pay full rates meaning they'll return over £1.7bn in coronavirus aid, well done all AND Sainsbury's says they've hired 56,000 people during the pandemic.
