Laying the tarmac

I think it is Day 9 of the resurfacing of the pavement opposite our house and today they are laying the tarmac. It is very cold and raining so there has been steam rising off the fresh tarmac once it was laid. It will be a big improvement as the pavement strip had become very narrow from the grass verge creeping across what remained of the old surface. Pilates this morning after the early walk, but since then in has been a day staying indoors. I have had a few more Christmas cards to print off which took much longer because several ink cartridges required changing and then the heads required cleaning. All finished now so just need to write the cards and post everything.
