Prof Higgs

Strange the folk you see walking about town, Peter Higgs is a British theoretical physicist best known for his prediction of the discovery of a new kind of elementary particle which acts on others to give them mass.
The so-called Higgs boson became known as 'the most sought-after particle in modern physics' since its existence is neccessary to explain the widely-accepted Standard Model of particle physics.
