Popping Berry
The feeders were heaving today but it was great to see this blackbird peeking surreptitiously out of the pyracantha bush to get the berries. Interesting to see here how he's got the berry lodged behind the ridge in his tongue so it's very secure.
We had 3 blackbirds in the garden, all a bit territorial and certainly skittish. One slight movement and they were gone. Sooo it was a waiting game, blown many times by one or other of the dogs wandering in to play.
This was shot through the conservatory window and it's difficult getting a clear shot without reflections in, added to which the light was rubbish.
A big thank you for all the hearts and stars for my kingfisher shot. Hopefully it won't be the last!
