Ms Brodie

Cold this morning with a snow fall that, so far, is not settling. I've gone into my Jean Brodie suite, that I'm very glad to say escaped the lips of the moth.

I've returned to Dickens " David Copperfield " having discovered a marker, about mid way, where I stopped last time.  Part of it is set in Yarmouth : I really enjoy that.

Todays Clare episode

Hung with the Ivys veining bough
The Ash trees round the cottage farm
Are often stipt of branches now
The cotters Xmas hearth to warm
He swings and twists his hazel band
And lops them off wi sharpened hook
And oft brings ivy in his Hans
To decorate the chimney nook
