Madness and sadness
Surely only an idiot would choose to ski in these conditions. Before lunch it was just foggy and possibly not the best idea to take Anna up one of the longest chairs. But somehow that's what I did and somehow we got down to the bottom. Even madder Rob took Cam and Jackson all the way down to the village. At this point Anna and I had regained some of our senses and took the telecabina to meet everyone for lunch.
Still we obediently headed back up for our lessons after lunch but after one miserable, cold run with icey rain blowing in my face and practically no visibility I decided to call it a day. Having missed the morning madness due to a sick child Verns decided to do one last run and the crazy kids carried on in their lesson for another hour. Clearly worth every minute of it as they ended their last lessons with ear to ear grins.
Verns and I did the sensible thing with our earlier finish and headed to a bar.
So slight sadness all round that the skiing bit of the holiday is over. And much sadness for Carl who has spent his last day here immobile with a bad back. Though lots of happiness at all that has been achieved, in spite (or because of) not ideal conditions.
Last evening in the bar and games room to be enjoyed by all before we head to the coast tomorrow.
