winter

Not a fun day. I spent 7hrs 30 min driving through level 4 areas to level 3 and then back to our level 2. I should not have been surprised when everything was closed.
The weather was foul and snowing as I left home so the journey was slow. Through the pass to Tyndrum I came around the corner to find a pickup upside down in the middle of the road, the police had just arrived and parked their vehicle in front of the pick up and hidden from me by the corner, I braked but the car slid on the ice, I slid onto the opposite carriageway to miss the police car. The two police persons were in the road with their backs to me. By the time they looked up my car was just under control, thank goodness for APS braking which kept the car straight. I was waved through and I was relieved the police had not looked earlier.
Picked up student daughter and turned straight for home. The weather warmed and the rain started so a much nicer drive home. A short stretch of the legs when I took this shot.
Now I really deserve my gin and crisps but it's very good to have us all at home again for the next month.
