Repton
A good day for sorting out some jobs. Heavy rain this morning but no sign of snow unlike some areas. Picked up a book I’d ordered from the Library based inn Robin Hoods Bay. I have to praise the staff for ensuring excellent systems are in place and even in lockdown operated a click and collect to provide reading matter.
I then popped to the garden centre to pick up a Christmas present. Picked up a Christmas tree. As you can imagine it was rather wet but is now in its stand drying out. I did consider various options but a glimpse of photos of Christmas past made my mind up. Earlier than usual but decided given this year we needed a lift.
Tom will be home tomorrow he sent us his test results. He and his seven housemates were all negative. They have entertained themselves either in house, exercising (now have a Strava house challenge) or walking in the Peak District.
Took advantage of a brief respite in the weather for a dog and spotted Repton pulling the Pullman dining coaches into the station. Not the best of views through the branches. However having not seen much action on the railway think it deserved sharing.
