Birthday Girl

It's Tess's birthday today but,with lockdown, we decided to celebrate it at home this year.

We enjoyed a birthday breakfast at the local Lounge Bar this morning and then Chris, Kate, Joel & Sophie came over after work this evening for a mid-winter BBQ in the garden, n line with Tier 2 restrictions.

It was pretty nippy, even with the chiminea going, but we had great fun with candles and Christmas lights in the garden and lashings of hot chocolate to keep us warm: you can see the evidence of the latter on Sophie's face in the blip of her and Grandma.

It certainly made for a different sort of birthday.
