A Season of Peace

This time of year, is usually when I check my calendar and take a deep breath - as I look at the parties, get togethers, and all the holiday festivities - it can be a little overwhelming as we “buckle up” for the 3 week madhouse ride.  This year is different - after my morning advent devotional time - I looked at a calendar that is empty!  No Parties, no get togethers, no madness.  I will relish this season and usher in a peace... time to spend with my 3 ladies, time to go deeper into the real meaning of Christmas, time to get creative and time to reach out and help those that are truly struggling.  My daughter reminded us last night as we were decorating for Christmas - “We’re gonna have a lot of family time this year”.  Indeed we will, that excites me and challenges me all the same.  This year, we plan to make it special, memorable and feel the true blessings of the season.  There is plenty to do outside (like seeing the many light displays) and plenty of memories to make!  Hope you find the joy and peace of this coming season. Christmas has not been cancelled.
