Button dilemma

I've been making this blouse since Easter 2019 (not a complicated pattern, so I have no idea why it is taking me so long).

Nearly finished, realised that the buttons I thought would go, don't.

So I've ordered some new ones and I'm crossing my fingers that they'll do the job.
