secret garden

By freespiral

A wild and woolly night and a strong north easterly wind. We did useful stuff this morning then decided to go for a blow around the lake and up onto the cliff - a nice shortish bracing walk, The colours were sublime and the light crisp, and amazingly we didn't get wet. This is looking down Dunmanus Bay, the Mizen Peninsula on the right, and you can just spot Lord Bandon's folly, built during the Famine era. The extra shows the view in the other direction - we weren't alone!
The other extra is Esme in gardening gear - dinosaur sleepsuit, cycling helmet and carnations! Perfect for Silly Saturday :)
Other news -  my almost very favourite little house just outside Takaka is for sale, Joe sent us the details  !! I loved it - old, right by the estuary, close to the fabulous beach at Pohara and a nice stroll to a good cafe. Very cheap too. How annoying that non-Kiwis can't buy property anymore.
