Our rainbow

Slept ok, awake a few times but not for long.
Breakfast was the usual fruit for me, hub had a toasted teacake. Really crisp and bright today.

Bit groggy this morning and a little change that we had to get checked out, nothing to worry about thankfully, vitals all pretty good, so back home relaxing now.

Youngest son and DiL called with some supplies for us, think they were relieved to see us looking pretty well. DiL has been busy cooking some home made things for the freezer for us, chicken & barley soup, pea & ham soup, cottage pie and spaghetti bolognese, as they say, she's a good un :-) Also brought the fruit n nut that hub had requested with his newspaper, oh, and some cake too ;-)

One of our neighbours has put up some christmas lights outside on our garage as we havent got ours from the loft......they look pretty! Might inspire me to go into the loft tomorrow just to retrieve one or two bits to dot around indoors.

This evening our Drive is having a distanced get together to mark Darrens 50th Birthday. Obviously there are no proper celebrations allowed, so his wife has arranged for a fish & chip van to come into the close and is treating all of us to a fish supper. One of our neighbours took our order and delivered it to the front door, as we cant't go outside. It was really good, hub did enjoy it :-)

Just watching my shambolic team on tv, they really are awful so far!!

Todays blip is a little glass rainbow that my best friend & my ex husband (yes, they are a couple and have been for a good few years now) sent to us in the post, which really lifted our spirits when it arrived a few days ago, so,lovely and worthy of sharing I thought.

Strictly in an hour......looking forward to Musicals week.
