Buddies
We met up with the youngest's best buddie today, they were at nursery together and are just such good little friends. Ask the youngest who his best friend is and he will always give the same answer, they hadn't seen each other since July, so it was very special watching them run over and hug.
The downside of the. morning was getting a parking ticket, the ticket machine (or what looked like a ticket machine) wasn't working, what wasn't clear was that there was another car park with a working ticket machine, which was supposed to be used. I tried explaining to the parking lady that it really wasn't clear and we weren't seeing eye to eye, it got worse when she called me 'love', - I might have told her I wasn't her love, and talked over her when she didn't let me get a word in and wasn't listening to what I was trying to explain.
On a brighter, less ranting note, we made Christmas cake mark two today, which looks like it has turned out a treat, thank you Mary Berry, come up trumps again. We had to eat the first one to make room in the large cake tin...
Took the puppy out this afternoon with the boys, it's quite stressful coping with two children who are running around, a puppy chasing them who is supposed to be learning how to walk nicely on a lead!
Today I'm grateful for
The youngest and his lovely friend (sadly, his mother is from Chile and they are planning to return there within 18 months)
The eldest choosing to write Christmas cards rather than have TV time (or at least combined the activities)
A half hour nap at lunch time, I sat down to do some reading and fell asleep, it was lovely.
