Extra:  the photobomber.  For anyone concerned, here's a list of toxic and non-toxic list of plants for cats.  I pulled out the holly just after adding it when I checked this exhaustive list.  My last cat never bothered with fresh flowers or plants, but this little guy  can't resist them. 

Today we worked on cutting down part of the paperbark birch that got nailed in the storm, and several hollies.  I'm offering the holly branches, white pine, and hemlock to friends and neighbors for fresh arrangements.  The local nursery used to take cuttings from our holly trees to sell this time of year, according to a former owner.
