One of the fuchsia flowers lying in a puddle in the rain.  There was more thunder late yesterday but it sounded distant and the rain continued this morning.  According to the riverlevels website ,between midday and midnight yesterday the local river increased in depth by three times  but has now subsided although it is still twice the depth it was for most of the week.   Just as we prepared to go for a walk this afternoon along roads because the paths are very wet and muddy, the heavens opened, so instead I finished making my cards.  I even made a prototype for next year which will be far less time consuming unlike those of the last three years and tomorrow’s task is to choose photos for the Christmas newsletter.
