A new day a new magnet.
Every year one of the local radio stations sells a CD. They bring in artists throughout the year and record them. Quantities are limited and they often sell out the first day, sometimes in a matter of hours. All the proceeds go to a local charity. Going and getting the CD is the start of my sister's and I holiday season, we get our CDs then a cup of coffee, we then spend the day together getting some Christmas shopping done and listening to the CD as we drive around town. Today was the day and the day starts early, I am not a morning person. Years past we would get in the line about 6, we would bring camping chairs and blankets and sit there till the CD went on sell at 8. We have sat in snow storms and in the dark freezing till the sun rises to get our CD. Like everything else Covid has changed this process. The CD went on sell at 6 instead of 8 and thanks to technology we sat in a warm car! The radio station did something called "join my line", it was wonderful and I'm not going to lie they could do this process every year. You sign up with your cell phone number once at the store and they assign you a number, when your number is up you get a text saying to come in! Something good out of Covid I guess. The day was good too, I'm now just about done with the shopping, just one gift left to buy. Spending the day with my sister was good too. I was home by 1, just in time for a nap.
