Advent Gift 2020

This year Lauralea and I are trying some different ideas for Advent. It’s an effort to try some new traditions, because some of the old ones with people, we can’t experience this year.

So we’re doing an advent calendar where we take turns each other day, to give each other a small gift.

Today was Lauralea‘s opportunity to give me a gift, and so she made me these cookies that my grandma used to make for me. Win!

So not only did she give me some awesome good cookies, but she helped me connect with some good memories with my grandma.

Funny how food can do that for you, connect you with the past. Connect you with people. That was a lovely gift to me.
