A Good Day's Work
My son came over today to trim the dogwood tree in the front yard, and somehow that morphed into getting us a half-cord of firewood, which he then had to stack. I'm pretty sure he wasn't planning to spend his whole day here, but he graciously accepted what the universe threw at him. He actually sang as he wheeled that wood down the sidewalk. We now have a lovely stack of tarped wood at the side of the house, another more reachable pile on the porch, a swept street, and a dogwood with a very nice haircut. We picked up some scraps and cleaned up a little, but that man worked his butt off. Oh yeah, and he made a run to the landfill with the tree trimmings.
