Bacon, boiled cabbage and potatoes!

I was in a large Glasgow secondary school today taking some photographs for an awards ceremony. As I was passing through the school, I couldn't resist snapping this wonderful school kitchen.

In days gone by this kitchen would cook and serve food to 1000 children upwards each day. I can almost see the picture form the 1950s with the dinner ladies in their aprons cooking. The place had a wonderful feel to it and the staff that worked in it were such a happy team.

I was going to post the shot in black and white but decided to leave it in colour. I may go back and do a b and w blip again soon.
