Feeding time
Every year a pair of Blackbirds raise their young in a bush next to our living room window. So, every year we have to keep watch for the chicks leaving the nest and keep the cat in the house so that he doesn't bring us any "presents".
Looks like it's that time of year again.
Unlike my previous attempts at bird shots, there's no cropping on this one. The blackbird always lands in the same spot before hopping into the bush, so I was able to stick the camera right next to where it would land. Then it was just a case of hiding in the living room with the remote and waiting for the next feed.
The full size version is up on Flickr if you're really interested in the seeing the contents of it's beak.
