Hoodie

The press that our young population get is ridiculous, it gives an unfair view of the youth of this country. I work with young people, a lot of them from disadvantaged backgrounds and they never stop surprising and inspiring me. I am not saying that they are perfect, far from it. But the journalists would have everyone believe that they're running riot and have no respect. That wearing a hoodie is a sign of a hoodlum. This is simply not true.

I am a teacher. I will never stop standing up for young people, and I will do it whilst wearing a hoodie.
