Earlier that Same Day

Last night we entertained the Foubisters from the parish of Holm.  CMC pulled out every conceivable stop she could locate.  I am not a pudding hand.  However, individual ramekins of locally picked blackberries, under a very light sponge mix, spent some time in a bain- marie.  They were served with a blackberry and port pouring sauce.  And cream.  And Orkney ice cream.  I lost consciousness at one point.

So, on the back of another resounding success, we are entertaining folk today too!  And another showstopper.  All further details will be in Hello magazine, or at least the Orcadian version ‘Whit Like’?

I peaked by washing the windows.

There are hopes that next year’s Orkney Ironing Festival will go ahead as planned.
