Gnomes Christmas
I last blipped this little gnome village when they were celebrating Halloween on the 31st October.
Now it has all changed, for Christmas.
I just love it as much as the village children, who all stop and have a look when they are out for a walk.
The detail is amazing.
Unfortunately we woke to rain this morning. Not good for fitting new windows.
They arrived at 8pm. First job unloading the van, and putting the scaffolding up.
Fortunately by the time they were ready to start on the windows the rain had stopped.
We were going to meet some friends and have a walk through Judy Woods, but because of the weather they gave it a miss. So we had a walk across the moor to the pond and back.
Our village gift shop “ Gorgeous “ was open so I had a look round, and bought a couple of special Christmas cards while Mr C carried on home.
Although the shop had to close for a few weeks they have been busier this year than last.
Think it is because so many people are buying local this year.
By the time I got home the windows were in and they were clearing everything up.
We have spent the rest of the afternoon putting everything back.
Despite covering everything with dust sheets the dust still finds a way through.
Anyhow all the windows have now been replaced. They have done a fantastic job. All handmade in wood. Everyone a different size. The double glazing certainly makes a difference. So we whatever the weather, will be all nice and cosy this winter.
