The Joust

The weather was ideal for our first full day of volleyball. When two players attempt to attack the ball at the same time it is known as a joust. Normally the taller player (back to the camera) wins such a contest, unless the shorter player is a wily veteran (facing the camera) as was the case here. Because our group is small, there are many games when the taller players take on the "little" guys. It has allowed me to play in some very high level games that I would not typically be in.
