David Maltby

Alan was watching a programme about the Dambusters when my ears pricked up at the mention of David Maltby, one of the pilots who flew on that mission. He died the following year in a freak collision over the North Sea. His grave is in the churchyard at Wickhambreaux in Kent. He married a local farmer's daughter and on the screen was a picture of their wedding. A son was born, I think posthumously.
