2020 Thursday — Turkey Pot Pie
Honestly, kitchen duty is not my forte. But completing something like these two turkey pot pies is a terrific feeling of accomplishment. Getting all the meat off the turkey caress is another duty that is not my forte, but the amazing amount of meat is a lovely reward for the effort. Then pot pies, soup, even enchiladas can be made with all that meat.
If you inspect my photos carefully, you’ll notice there’s a bit of excess pastry on the top crust of each pie. That’s because the bottom crust (store bought) is eight inch and the top crust (which is also a store bought item) is nine inch. So I thought I could just sort of fold it in. Not such a good idea; but possibly I earned a point or two for being creative.
So that’s the main event of my day.
