A ramshackle cottage long past it’s prime caught my eye as we drove along the back road between Himatangi Beach and Foxton.

We have returned to Wellington, arriving amidst misty fog. Increasing wind should blow it away by morning.


Thank you for the comments, stars and hearts for yesterday’s wet-sand reflections. I appreciate your response to ‘three faces’ of Himatangi Beach over the past few days while we have been staying there.

I apologise for getting behind with your journals. Laryngitis and cold symptoms haven’t helped.
