Raw Morning

I legged it early to the pharmacy for repeats. The'd not even been returned from surgery ( dam , is this going to be the covid vac effect ie that nothing else works ). It helped that pharmacist was very apologetic .
Raw fog when I set off, but sun did break through so I had fun playing with light/shadows.
The Extra, are more similar taken on my route.

I'm firmly into a Dickens fix : working my way through David Copperfield and impatient to read again Bleak House. Enthusiasm is being helped along by the BBC putting the latest Bleak House dramatisation ( Andrew Davies ) on iPlayer that I've binge watched. That they've taken severe dramatic liberties with the story pisses me off.  Dickens writing deserved better than pandering to current social tastes and making everything come out right in the end. Life's not like that.

Todays Clare

The shepherd now no more afraid
Since doth the chance bestow
Starts up to kiss the giggling maid
Beneath the branch of mizzletoe
That neath each cottage beam is seen
Wi pearl-like-berrys shining gay
The shadow still of what hath been
Which fashion yearly fades away
