Crinan Canal and River Add
The sun came back today so we headed out to the Crinan Canal with the intention of walking up to the Bellanoch viewpoint. However the forestry workers had locked the gate to the road and had a warning sign up re heavy work being carried out.
So a slight chnage of plan we headed up the lower hill to the side of the viepoint. not as good a view but still worth the walk. Lovely light on the Kilmartin hills in the distance. In the foreground you can see the canal with the towpath fringed with long grasses , beyond that is the River Add which looks amazing from the viewpoint as you can see the contours of all the sandbanks under the water.
never mind , there will always be another time as we live fairly near.
Hope you all had the brightweather we had as well.
