Well I never!

A lovely crisp sunny Winter's day ....... very chilly though ..... but lovely weather for a walk :-)

Just a wander 'up the road' as usual at the moment ....... saw quite a lot of different birds including Blue & Great Tit, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Robin, Wren, Dunnock & a Fieldfare in the same place as last week!

We also saw a couple of 'unusual' things:

This Black-headed Gull sitting on the wire ...... I would have thought it would be difficult with webbed feet!

Extra: Spotted Redshank & a juvenile in the waterlogged field ..... didn't expect to see that! (Photo is heavily cropped)

We headed home as the sun was setting ...... it was already beginning to freeze! Brrr!
