Hoar frost

It's been bitterly cold today and Linton has been enshrouded by freezing fog since about 4.00pm.  Nevertheless I was surprised to find the frost still thick from this morning  on the trees in Borley wood.  I feel lucky not to have to travel far in this weather.

I was really looking forward to receiving a delivery of a wool rug this afternoon, but it still hasn't turned up (8.00pm)  - I think the fog may have something to do with it.  Fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow.
